About project
We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join a team developing a SaaS platform for visitor and vehicle management in commercial real estate. The product supports workflows such as visitor management, building attendance, truck scheduling, port scheduling, and operational monitoring. The initial focus of this role is on AWS and Azure infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD. The engineer will work with the client’s team to review the current setup, address infrastructure issues, and improve operational processes where needed.
Team members
- Two Senior SREs from Postindustria are working as a focused reliability team.
- Close collaboration with the client’s engineering and product teams, including US-based stakeholders.
Technologies
The environment spans AWS and Azure. The exact toolset will be confirmed during onboarding.
The role is expected to work across the following areas:
- Cloud: AWS and Azure, including compute, managed databases, storage, networking, IAM, and monitoring services;
- Infrastructure as code: CloudFormation, Terraform, Pulumi, or similar;
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar;
- Containers and application platforms: Docker and managed container/orchestration services where applicable;
- Observability: Amazon CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch / ELK, and OpenTelemetry;
- Operations: Linux, scripting, cloud networking, secrets management, and access control.
Your Contribution
- Review, maintain, and improve infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments;
- Build and maintain IaC code for cloud resources, networking, access policies, and environment configuration;
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using the tools adopted by the team;
- Configure and maintain metrics, logs, dashboards, and alerts using the project’s observability stack;
- Investigate production incidents, identify contributing factors, and document follow-up actions;
- Automate repeatable operational tasks with scripting tools;
- Work with software engineers on release processes, deployment issues, and production troubleshooting;
- Support access management, secrets handling, and basic cloud-security practices;
- Document infrastructure configuration, runbooks, and technical decisions.
Expertise you need
- 4+ years of commercial experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or a similar infrastructure-focused role;
- Hands-on experience with both AWS and Azure;
- Practical IaC experience, including reusable modules and environment configuration;
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or a comparable platform;
- Experience with Docker and Linux-based production environments;
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and logging systems in production environments;
- Experience investigating production incidents and working with engineering teams on resolution;
- Understanding of IAM, cloud networking, security groups or firewall rules, and secrets management;
- Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or a similar language;
- English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher;
Nice to have:
- Experience with managed databases, message brokers, or other stateful cloud services;
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure recovery procedures;
- Experience with cloud-cost monitoring or optimisation;
- Relevant AWS or Azure certifications;
- Experience working with distributed product teams.
