About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to lead and drive projects within the AdTech domain, overseeing mobile, web, and server verticals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage complex software development projects in a fast-paced environment. You will work with various client projects and tasks in the AdTech domain – prepare to be flexible.
Your contribution
- Deliver projects across mobile, web, and server platforms.
- Help with project discovery, planning, and architecture.
- Work with the stakeholders from the client’s team to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
- Proactively identify and resolve project risks, dependencies, and blockers to ensure timely delivery.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and scalability of AdTech solutions.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AdTech and programmatic advertising.
Expertise you need
- 10+ years of experience in IT, and 5+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably within the AdTech, digital advertising, or media industry.
- You have a provable (we will test you) knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals including Algorithms and Data Structures, Databases, Networking, Operating Systems, Compilers
- You are a hands-on engineer capable of coding in several programming languages. Ideally, you can code in some of these languages – Python, Swift or Kotlin, JavaScript, Go, Java (or other) – at a level where you can troubleshoot and patch problems while having a solid understanding of others to oversee technical decisions and assist where needed.
- You are capable of architecting systems, designing APIs, and writing public documentation.
- You are a deep thinker and problem solver, attacking problems from first principles and viewing them from multiple angles, including business, technology, security, and compliance perspectives.
- You are agile and able to learn new concepts and jargon quickly, thoroughly, and precisely.
- You are platform agnostic and familiar with a wide range of technologies. You can work with various tools that allow you to get the job done efficiently – whether that means running and debugging projects in Xcode, AndroidStudio, GoLand, etc., or even using command-line tools like gdb when needed.
- You have a strong understanding of cloud technologies, virtualization, containerization, and related technologies that impact scalable, high-performance AdTech solutions.
- A good level of English and technical writing skills is a must – the ability to write public documentation in a clear and concise way is crucial.
- You are a result-oriented manager capable of balancing between pushing the code into production and doing necessary admin tasks.
Nice to have
- Prior contributions to open-source projects.
- Familiarity with IAB standards such as OpenRTB, OpenMeasurement, TCF/GPP.
- Computer Science, Math, Physics, or Engineering degree.
- Professional Certificates (f.e. AWS Cloud Practitioner or a similar one for other cloud, programming languages, etc.)
- Being familiar with Google Ad Manager, Prebid.js, and Prebid Server technologies would be great.
